The Bitter Special Reserve contains three botanicals considered quite rare, which are saffron, angostura and Columba, a root used in the bitter but not very common. The product is left to rest in the same barrels used for the extracts of the other two Special Reserve and, like the two vermouths, contains Italian mugwort. Bitter is specially designed for Italian-style aperitifs and is particularly suitable for use in Negroni, but can also be drunk alone or mixed with tonic water.
