Amaro Rubino Bio

Amaro Rubino is a new handmade bitter liquor among the first in the international market to be certified as 'organic', made with local honey and botanicals that typically grow in the area between the lakes and the Prealps of Lombardy and Piedmont.

It is the result of about two years of work by Matteo Rubino, a liquorist for passion, who after many experiments shared with friends, began to study the typical herbs of the area, then selected from organic and biodynamic growers.

After numerous tests, mixing the various alcoholic tinctures obtained from the herbs, the final recipe includes, among others, hyssop, elderberry, nettle, meadow cumin and dandelion root; all local ingredients, except for the Calabrian liquorice, the producer's homage to his paternal grandparents.

The taste is floral, delicate and sweet: chamomile and honey are evident on the palate and then leave room for the aromatic scents of thyme, laurel and sage.

On the finish a slight bitter aftertaste and the delicate echo of liquorice.
