Vermouth was born in Turin in 1756 and made popular by the House of Savoy. Verney's recipe is inspired by one written in 1880 and attributed to the botanist Abbé Edouard Bérard of Aosta, calling for "mountain wine", savory and great wormwood. Rich on the palate, with characteristic spices and notes of wild thyme, the signature scent of the Aosta Valley Alps.
