Whisky Michter's US1 Unblended American Whiskey

This whiskey is in many ways, by definition, different from any bourbon or rye. Unlike Bourbon or Rye, which, by definition, must be aged in new oak barrels, Unblended US 1 American whiskey is aged in a way that uses barrels soaked in bourbon to achieve a rich and unique flavor profile. Bottled to an exact strength of 41.7 degrees and the word "unmixed" implies that, this whiskey is not added neutral grain alcohol. Well balanced, with a soft flavor, a good balance between delicate fruity and sweet spices that blend gently. Spiciness takes over, accompanied by notes of barrel char and a pleasant note of leather and tobacco, deep notes of butterscotch and vanilla, hints of caramel and dried fruit with a finish of ripe fruit.
