Unlike Bourbon or Rye, which, by definition, must be aged in new oak barrels, Unblended US 1 American whiskey is aged in a way that uses barrels soaked in bourbon to achieve a rich and unique flavor profile.
Bottled to an exact strength of 41.7 degrees and the word "unmixed" implies that, this whiskey is not added neutral grain alcohol.
Well balanced, with a soft flavor, a good balance between delicate fruity and sweet spices that blend gently.
Spiciness takes over, accompanied by notes of barrel char and a pleasant note of leather and tobacco, deep notes of butterscotch and vanilla, hints of caramel and dried fruit with a finish of ripe fruit.
