Whisky Bourbon Rare Breed Barrel Proof Wild Turkey

Wild Turkey Rare Breed is a barrel proof Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, produced by the historic Wild Turkey distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. It is made from a selection of bourbons aged 6, 8 and 12 years and is bottled without the addition of water before bottling, preserving its full strength and intense character, true to the “straight from the barrel” style.

On the nose, it is rich and deep, with notes of intense vanilla, toasted oak, spices, honey, caramel and pepper. On the palate, it is full-bodied, warm and enveloping, with hints of vanilla, citrus, tobacco, dried fruit, sweet cream, spices and toasted wood. The finish is long, persistent and spicy, with a pleasantly well-integrated alcoholic strength.

The most common European version is generally the 70 cl format with an alcohol content of 58.4% ABV / 116.8 proof, although some batches may show different alcohol levels because the product is barrel proof and the strength may vary slightly from batch to batch.

Wild Turkey Rare Breed is ideal to enjoy neat, with a few drops of water or over ice. Its powerful structure also makes it suitable for premium mixology, especially in intense bourbon-based cocktails such as Old Fashioned, Boulevardier and Whiskey Sour.
