Ginetto Pink Grapefruit Aperitif

Ginetto Pink Grapefruit was born in Mirano, just outside Venice, where La Gineria has been putting its own spin on the aperitivo since 2015: a quality gin as the base, one fruit taking centre stage, and just one rule — serve it ice-cold, always with tonic water. It is the house's original aperitivo, the one that gave the range its signature colour.

Pink grapefruit is left to macerate in gin to capture its most vibrant qualities: the ripe juice, the aromatic peel and that distinctive hint of bitterness. In the glass, it reveals a luminous coral-pink colour; on the nose, fresh citrus comes through immediately, with nuances of red berries and a subtle balsamic note of juniper in the background.

On the palate, it is juicy and refreshing: the fruit's sweetness opens the sip, its acidity keeps it lively, and the gentle bitterness of the peel delivers a clean finish that invites another glass.

The ritual is simple: plenty of ice, one part Ginetto, two parts tonic water and a slice of grapefruit. Also perfect served neat and well chilled, as a quick aperitivo or a light after-dinner drink.
