In the mid-nineteenth century, with the advent of the modern pharmacopoeia, the classic "medicinal bitter" gradually moved away from its original curative function. From a drug and elixir (or elixir) it became a voluptuous alcoholic drink, jokingly referred to at the time as "medicine for healthy men". The recipe from which Doragrossa Amaro di Torino comes to life recalls the characteristic scents of the products of that time.
Delicate bitter of alpine style, invigorating and digestive, expresses the strong character of rhubarb and gentian. The balsamic notes of juniper are enriched with many other spices such as tansy, licorice and vanilla.
Herbs and Spices: Pink split rhubarb root, juniper, gentian, tansy, licorice, vanilla.
