Turin tradition, with style
Strucchi Vermouth Rosso was created as a tribute to Arnaldo Strucchi, the renowned Turin oenologist and author of Il Vermouth di Torino (1907), a landmark text that inspired today’s official production regulations. This historic recipe has been reinterpreted with a contemporary sensitivity, celebrating the very essence of Piedmontese excellence.
Production follows a rigorous and traditional process. Aromatic herbs – including orange peel, marjoram, savory, and clary sage – are carefully pressed and left to infuse for several days in a hydroalcoholic solution to extract their full aromatic potential.
Once maceration is complete, the extracts are blended with a fine Italian wine, which is then fortified and aromatized in the crucial mariage phase. Lasting two days, this step allows flavors and aromas to merge in perfect harmony. After a meticulous filtration, the Vermouth is ready to be bottled.
The result is a refined and complex Vermouth, weaving together herbal notes and warm spices with delicate citrus nuances. On the palate, it offers an impeccable balance of sweetness and bitterness, closing with an elegant, smooth, and pleasantly bitter finish.
Perfect to enjoy neat, chilled, or on the rocks, Strucchi Vermouth Rosso also shines in classic and contemporary cocktails, confirming its Turin heritage with a touch of modern style.
