In its over 160 years of history, only 7 Master Distillers have been the guarantors of the production and quality of Jack Daniel's whiskeys. Each of them has been chosen and trained by its predecessor, in order to ensure compliance with the original recipe of the legendary Mr. Jack. The role of a Master Distiller? Oversee all stages of the production process: fermentation, distillation and, of course, aging.
Jack Daniel's Master Distiller Series No. 6 is a tribute to the sixth of these men, James "Jimmy" Bedford, who served at the Lynchburg Distillerua from 1988 to 2008.

It was during Jimmy Bedford's presence that the distillery experienced rapid growth. And it was he who came up with two new whiskeys for the first time in Jack Daniel's history: Gentleman Jack and Jack Daniel's Single Barrel. A toast in memory of him!
