After the success of Giniu, the 100% Sardinian gin, Elio Carta created a new product on the same principle but with a different process: the same local botanicals in greater quantity — juniper, myrtle, thyme, wild fennel, sage and lemon peel — followed by ageing in century-old Sardinian chestnut casks that previously held Vernaccia.
