The spirit that connects the Lake and the Mountains.
Gin Porta di Prada is the spirit that connects the Lake and the Mountains, a contemporary reinterpretation of an ancient secret recipe from 1966. It is the first distillate ever to receive the “Lago di Como” label, being entirely created on the territory, from recipe to production. Made with the purest water sourced from one of the highest springs in Europe, at 1935 meters above sea level in Alta Valsassina, this London Dry Gin is a true tribute to the landscape and local tradition. On the nose, it releases elegant notes of lavender and bergamot, intense yet harmonious. On the palate, the wild, woody character of juniper blends with the delicate tones of lavender and dog rose; bergamot peel adds a lively citrus freshness, while the finish is soft and persistent, with a floral-sweet note of rhododendron honey. Each bottle is a collectible item: 8 label variants are available, each featuring an original photograph and adorned with an official C.A.M.P. rope and carabiner, a tribute to the alpine soul of the project.
The GP08 label features Monte Legnone (2609 m), photographed in late spring with a light covering of snow still visible on its summit. The picture was taken from Rifugio Ombrega and clearly shows Legnoncino in the center, with the village of Sueglio below in Val Varrone. Monte Legnone is the highest peak in the Lecco section of the Orobic Alps and stands as a towering presence over the northern branch of Lake Como.
