Visintini Agricultural Company, since 1973 our family has been dedicated to the production of top quality wines
The place where the Visintini company is located has a history that dates back to the Middle Ages, exactly to 1290.
It is located on the hills south of the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali area on the border with the DOC Collio and which delimits the provinces of Udine and Gorizia.
The Castle and the Territory
The various vicissitudes led to the purchase of the Gramogliano Castle by the great-grandfather Domenico Visintini in 1884.
It was an imposing feudal construction that extended with a keep and towers over a very large area. Over the centuries, however, this area was destroyed and rebuilt several times.
1915 - In this year the Castle passed by succession to his son Umberto who became the legitimate owner of the Castle and it was he who started the agricultural activity.
1973 - After almost 60 years of activity, Umberto thought the time had come to pass the reins to his son Andrea who continued the activity of both arable land and the vineyard.
1988 - His son Oliviero joined the company. He began to focus on the production of wine, giving strong impetus and increasingly enhancing the winemaking tradition.
2002-It is precisely in 2002 that the company passes into the hands of his children: Oliviero, Cinzia and Palmira. They are the ones who carry on the tradition and continue the business started many years earlier by their father.
The company is immersed in an enchanting landscape on the hills of Corno di Rosazzo. It is characterized by an evocative medieval construction, made even more fascinating by the last reconstruction, which took place after the 1976 earthquake.
It carries out its activity on approximately 32 hectares located mostly in the DOC Friuli Colli Orientali area.
