Michter'S US 1

In the 18th century, a Swiss Mennonite farmer named John Shenk settled with his family near the Blue Mountain Valley in Pennsylvania. After a few years of hard work and long hours, Shenk was harvesting more grains than he could sell at the local market. As a result, Shenk bought an alembic and began distilling whiskey from the excess harvested grains.
His distillery, which was eventually named Michter's, became the first and oldest distillation company in the United States, located in Louisville, Kentucky.
The US1 expressions, named to honor Michter's legacy dating back to America's first whiskey company, consist of some of the best Single Barrel.
Distilled to the exact specifications of Master Distiller Dan McKee, no US1 whiskey is ever released until Dan and Michter's tasting team deem it ready.
